Ward Beullens
Special guest
Ward Beullens is a PhD candidate in the COSIC research group at KU Leuven, funded by an FWO SB fellowship. Ward mostly works on the design and cryptanalysis of post-quantum digital signature algorithms. He has worked with multivariate cryptography, code-based cryptography, isogeny-based cryptography, and lattice-based cryptography, and some less known hardness assumptions such as the Permuted Kernel problem and the security of the Legendre PRF.
During the fall of 2018, Ward visited NIST for a three-month internship, where he studied the security of post-quantum cryptographic algorithms submitted to the NIST PQC "competition".
Ward Beullens has been a guest on 1 episode.
