Special guest
Gaëtan Leurent is a researcher at Inria in the team COSMIQ, working on symmetric cryptography. He received his PhD from ENS Paris in 2010 on the design and analysis of hash functions, and has been working on the construction and analysis of symmetric cryptography primitives since then.
Gaëtan is also interested on cryptanalysis of mode of operation and generic attacks, and on the practical security impact of cryptanalysis. In particular, his work has contributed to the deprecation of obsolete standards such as MD5, Triple-DES and SHA-1.
